Challenge

Our client had two data marts within existing data warehouse on Oracle. Their main challenge was to present this information to internal as well as external users by having personalized security and data governance.

 

Another challenge was to give full visibility to executives and to provide self serve capabilities.

Solution

BI Demantra leveraged Microsoft Tabular SSAS to build high performing in-memory cubes as well as a set of Power BI content packs specifically for executives, sales directors and other power users.

 

SSAS cubes consumed existing data warehouse on oracle and the cubes were also used to provide detailed SSRS reports. Additionally, the Master Data services was used to centrally manage master data.

 

 

Result
  1. Creating solution using Microsoft platform enabled our client to make use of existing investment on SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies.
  2. It helped our client provide insights using existing data warehouse on Oracle.
  3. Our solution provided 360 degree view of sales and inventory data so that users can make informed decisions and take actionable decisions by analyzing insights.
